A series of explosions rocked three empty buses in Bat Yam, a central Israeli city, in what Israeli police have classified as a terrorist attack. However, no casualties were reported. Police stated that bombs were also found in two other buses and were successfully deactivated.

Jerusalem: A series of explosions in Bat Yam, a central Israeli city, caused widespread alarm on Thursday evening. Israeli police have termed the explosions a "major terrorist attack," although no injuries have been reported. Following the explosions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an emergency meeting with the defense minister, the chief of staff, Shin Bet (Israeli security agency), and the police commissioner. Security agencies are conducting a thorough investigation into the blasts, and initial reports suggest multiple buses were targeted.

Police Launch Investigation

Following the bus explosions near Tel Aviv, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered a major military operation in the West Bank. Netanyahu's office described the blasts as an "attempted large-scale attack." However, no casualties resulted from the explosions. According to Israeli police, three buses exploded in the Tel Aviv suburbs, and four explosive devices were recovered.

According to local media reports, the explosions occurred in empty buses parked at a bus depot. Police have launched a large-scale search for suspects, and bomb disposal squads are investigating other potential explosive devices. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious objects to the security forces.

Bat Yam Mayor's Video Statement

Bat Yam Mayor Tzivia Brot, in a video statement, said the explosions occurred in two buses at two separate parking lots. She confirmed that there were no casualties in these incidents, but the cause of the explosions remains unclear. Television footage broadcast on Israeli media showed one bus completely burned out, while another was on fire.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army has been conducting a large-scale military operation in the West Bank for the past month. The army says its aim is to target terrorists, but the operation has forced thousands of Palestinians in West Bank refugee camps to flee their homes. Numerous homes and infrastructure have also been destroyed.
