Trump and Zelensky's White House Meeting Ends in Explosive Argument
Last Updated: 3 hour ago

Trump and Zelensky's meeting in America initially appeared amicable, but quickly devolved into a heated argument, surprising everyone at the White House.

Zelensky Trump Clash: Amidst the ongoing war against Russian aggression, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with former US President Donald Trump in America, but the meeting ultimately turned tense. While the meeting, held Friday at the White House, initially involved cordial discussions between the two leaders, it soon escalated into a sharp exchange.

A Heated Exchange Between Trump and Zelensky

While Trump and Zelensky initially exchanged compliments, a heated argument ensued within minutes. When US Vice President JD Vance emphasized the importance of diplomacy in resolving the Russo-Ukrainian war, Zelensky directly questioned him about why Russia was not stopped during the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Clash Between JD Vance and Zelensky

Zelensky asked Vance, "Putin seized Crimea and significant parts of Ukraine in 2014. This situation persisted under Obama, Trump, and Biden—all three administrations. Now President Trump says he will stop Russia, but why wasn't he stopped in 2014?"

Vance responded, "I'm talking about the diplomacy that will prevent your country's destruction."

Whenever Zelensky attempted to speak, Vance interrupted, saying, "Speaking like this in the Oval Office is disrespectful. America is trying to help you; you should thank your president (Trump)."

Trump Expresses Displeasure with Zelensky

Following the Vance-Zelensky argument, Trump intervened, pointing at Zelensky and saying, "You're not in the right position. You have to compromise with Russia. You should be grateful to us. Don't try to control us."

Zelensky replied, "You have a solution, but you don't understand it now; you will in the future."

Trump then angrily retorted, "We're trying to solve a problem. Don't tell us how we should feel. You're gambling with the lives of millions of people. You're trying to start World War III!"

Zelensky Leaves the White House in Anger

The argument escalated to the point where Trump ordered Zelensky to leave the White House. Amidst this dispute, Zelensky departed without signing a crucial minerals agreement between America and Ukraine. This unexpected event could further increase tensions in the US-Ukraine relationship.
