Directorate of Public Health and Hospital Management

The Health Department will now have three directorates: the Directorate of Public Health, the Directorate of Health Services, and the Directorate of Medical Education. Each directorate will have a Director General, along with an Additional Director General.

Creation of 20,016 Positions: Hope for Improved Healthcare in the State

The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on April 8th approved the creation of these positions. Subsequently, the government has sought approval from the Accountant General for these new posts. Several crucial positions have been created in the Directorate of Public Health, including those in the Community Process Management Cadre, Entomology, Pharmacist Cadre, Laboratory Technician, and Data Assistant Cadre. Similarly, the Directorate of Health Services will see the creation of important positions such as Nurse Cadre, Hospital Manager, Physiotherapist, and Health Counselor.
