Powered by Abhishek Sharma's first IPL century and a blistering innings from Travis Head, SRH defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 8 wickets. Chasing down a mammoth 246 runs, SRH recorded their highest-ever successful chase in IPL history. The match was played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Abhishek's Maiden IPL Century
The match hero, Abhishek Sharma, played a whirlwind innings of 141 runs off just 55 balls, including 14 fours and 10 sixes. This is the highest individual score ever made by an SRH batsman in the IPL. After reaching his century, he continued his aggressive batting. He was eventually dismissed by Arshdeep Singh in the 17th over.
Head's Powerful Comeback
Travis Head also started aggressively, reaching his fifty by the 11th over. Together, they added 83 runs in the powerplay, taking the score to 109 in just eight overs. However, Head was caught out off Yuzvendra Chahal's bowling in the 13th over, scoring 50 runs.
