Avinash Jamwal fought in the final of the 65 kg category. He gave a tough fight to Yuri Reis of host Brazil, but ultimately had to settle for a silver medal in a closely contested match.

Four Boxers Win Bronze Medals

Four other Indian boxers also delivered excellent performances, winning bronze medals:
