Crime News: A shocking incident unfolded in the Sundar Pada (Nai Ki Mandi Police Station) area of Agra. Shakti, an e-rickshaw driver, murdered his wife, Parvati, also known as Shivani, due to suspicion of an extramarital affair. Police have arrested the accused husband and sent him to jail. During interrogation, Shakti revealed that his wife enjoyed making reels and often interacted with many people in relation to them. Additionally, she frequently went out alone. These actions led Shakti to suspect Parvati's character.

Reel Making as a Reason for Death

Parvati enjoyed making reels on social media and often interacted with others to create videos. Shakti bly disliked this habit. He became increasingly disturbed by messages and calls from unknown numbers on his wife's phone. Her habit of going out without informing him further fueled his suspicions.

According to DCP City Sonam Kumar, Shakti told the police that a few days earlier, Parvati had gone to Bhopal without informing him. He somehow persuaded her to return home, but later she left again with her niece to visit Kaila Devi temple. This led to a significant escalation in their arguments.

A Horrific Morning: Murder in a Fit of Rage

Around 10 am on Sunday, another argument erupted between the couple. In a fit of rage, Shakti tightly bound Parvati's mouth with a cloth to prevent her from screaming. He then fetched a knife from the kitchen and slit her throat. Seeing his wife's agony, to ensure she wouldn't survive, he also cut the veins in both her arms with a blade.

After the murder, Shakti sold Parvati's mobile phone to a neighbor and bought alcohol. He slept on the ground next to the corpse for three days, attempting to conceal his heinous act. During this time, he went outside during the day and interacted normally with neighbors to avoid suspicion.

Police Action and Arrest of the Accused

While Shakti was searching for a way to dispose of the body, Parvati's sister, Geeta, unexpectedly arrived home. She saw the body on the cot and immediately raised an alarm. Upon seeing his sister-in-law, Shakti fled the scene. By the time the police arrived, other family members had also disappeared. The Nai Ki Mandi Police Station in-charge informed that Shakti has been arrested and sent to jail. During interrogation, Shakti confessed to his crime. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and will also investigate the role of other family members.

This tragic event highlights the complexities of relationships and the devastating consequences of suspicion. The obsession with reel making and suspicion of his wife's character blinded a man to the point of brutally murdering her. This incident serves as a stark warning to society that distrust and anger can destroy lives.
