I am surrendering to the Pune CID office, while possessing pre-arrest powers." Karad claimed that his name was being linked to the murder due to political reasons.

Dispute surrounding Santosh Deshmukh's murder
Sources indicate that a dispute arose between Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh and Sudarshan Ghule concerning the Pavanchikki project in Massajog village. Sudarshan Ghule repeatedly demanded a recount, which led to a conflict between the two, potentially contributing to the murder of Santosh Deshmukh.
Four arrests made in the murder case so far
Four suspects have been arrested in this murder case: Jayaram Chaute, Mahesh Kedars, Pratik Ghule, and Vishnu Chaute. The prime suspects, Sudarshan Ghule, Krishna Andhale, and Sudhir Sangale, remain at large.
