New Delhi: The three-day session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly began today, February 24, 2025, with BJP MLA Arvindar Singh Lovely taking the oath as Protem Speaker. He was sworn in by Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena at Raj Niwas. As Protem Speaker, Lovely will preside over the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected MLAs. Following this, the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will take place.

She also mentioned that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government had increased Delhi's budget by ₹30,000 crore and launched several welfare schemes for the public.
Future Plans
Delhi's new cabinet has pledged to focus on public welfare. BJP leader Ravinder Singh Negi said that under PM Modi's leadership, Delhi will be given a new direction, prioritizing a clean Yamuna, better roads, and clean water. In the upcoming session, the government will implement its initial decisions and discuss development plans.
