Delhi Police Arrests Student for Sending Bomb Threats to Schools

Delhi School Bomb Threat Case: A string of bomb threats targeting Delhi schools has caused considerable concern for the police. Previous threats, delivered via phone calls, were found to be fraudulent. Now, police have made a significant breakthrough in a bomb threat case.

12th-Grade Student Arrested

Delhi Police have arrested a 12th-grade student for sending false bomb threats to several schools. The student sent threatening emails to multiple schools, apparently attempting to avoid exams. The student allegedly sent threatening emails on six separate occasions, including one instance where 23 schools were targeted simultaneously. Deliberately including multiple schools in the distribution list was likely an attempt to avoid detection.

Motivations Behind the Threats Investigated

Investigations revealed the student's motive was to evade school exams. This development marks a significant success in the ongoing investigation into bomb threats targeting Delhi schools.

Previous Threats to Delhi Schools

Delhi schools have faced previous threats. On December 8, 2024, over 40 Delhi schools received threatening emails claiming explosive devices were planted on campus. The perpetrators demanded US$30,000. Similar threats were made on December 13th, targeting 16 schools.

Press Conference Announced

Delhi Police have announced a press conference to provide detailed information about the case. This successful arrest could be instrumental in dismantling a larger network involved in such threats.
