Pune Car Fire Deaths: A tragic accident occurred in Hinjewadi, Pune, Maharashtra, where a sudden fire in an SUV resulted in the death of four employees. The incident, which took place around 7 am, shocked the entire area. All the deceased were employees of Vyom Graphics company.
How did the accident happen?
While the vehicle was traveling in Hinjewadi Phase 1, the driver noticed flames and smoke emanating from underneath. The driver and the front passenger quickly escaped, but the rear doors failed to open, trapping four employees inside, leading to their tragic deaths.
Cause of the fire
All the employees were in the Tempo Traveller on their way to the office. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Hinjewadi), Vishal Gaikwad, the fire broke out suddenly when the vehicle was near Dassault Systèmes. The driver slowed down the vehicle, but the fire spread so rapidly that four people could not escape.
Rescue operation underway
Upon receiving information about the accident, the fire brigade and police arrived at the scene. Rescue and relief operations are underway, and efforts are being made to recover the bodies. Injured individuals have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Administration's response
The police are investigating the cause of the fire – whether it was a result of a technical malfunction or some other reason. The administration has taken the incident seriously and instructed a review of safety measures.
