Independent Candidate Dr. Indrajit Yadav Wins Manesar Municipal Corporation Election

Dr. Indrajit Yadav, an independent candidate, won the Manesar Municipal Corporation election by a margin of 2293 votes. She became the first female mayor and maintained a lead from the beginning.

Haryana Municipal Elections 2025: Results for the 2025 Haryana Municipal Elections are being declared today. Counting of votes began at 8 AM, encompassing 10 municipal corporations and 32 other municipal bodies across the state. Initial trends indicated close contests in several areas. An independent female candidate won in Manesar, while the BJP secured a significant lead in Gurugram. In Julana Municipal Council, the BJP won despite the presence of Congress MLA and former wrestler Vinesh Phogat.

Sonipat Municipal Corporation Election: BJP's Landslide Victory

The BJP defeated the Congress by a large margin in the Sonipat Municipal Corporation election. BJP candidate Rajiv Jain defeated Congress candidate Kamal Diwan by 34,766 votes. BJP workers celebrated the victory. Following the win, Rajiv Jain stated that this victory belonged to the people and expressed his gratitude. He further added that the "Triple Engine" government in Sonipat would now accelerate development projects.

Manesar Municipal Corporation: Independent Candidate Dr. Indrajit Yadav Becomes First Woman Mayor

In the Manesar Municipal Corporation mayoral election, independent candidate Dr. Indrajit Yadav secured a victory with a margin of 2,293 votes. She became the first woman mayor of Manesar Municipal Corporation. Dr. Indrajit Yadav maintained her lead from the first round, holding it through six rounds. She defeated BJP candidate Sunder Lal Yadav.

Following this victory, the role of Union Minister Rao Indrajit came under discussion. It is reported that before the election, based on a survey, Rao Indrajit had proposed Dr. Indrajit Yadav's name to the BJP's election committee, but the party nominated Sunder Lal Yadav. The outcome now presents a matter for consideration for the BJP.

BJP Wins Julana Municipal Council

In the Julana Municipal Council, BJP candidate Dr. Sanjay Jangra won by 671 votes. He received 3,771 votes, while independent candidate Gallu Lathar received 3,100 votes.

BJP Candidate Leading Significantly in Gurugram

In the Gurugram Municipal Corporation, BJP candidate Raj Rani Malhotra is leading by 1,14,000 votes. This lead provides significant relief for the BJP.

Close Contest in Tawadu Municipal Council, Nuh District

Election results are emerging from Tawadu Municipal Council in Nuh district. In the first round, Sunita Soni is leading by 117 votes, with Payal Soni in second place.
