India Responds to Increased Cross-Border Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir

Amidst repeated ceasefire violations and continuous firing by Pakistan on Indian security forces, Jammu and Kashmir faces a renewed threat.

Pahalgam Terror Attack: Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, India took b measures against Pakistan, leading to Pakistani retaliation. Late Thursday night, Pakistan initiated firing on the Line of Control (LoC) targeting Indian troops. However, the Indian Army responded firmly, effectively countering the Pakistani aggression. While Pakistan's firing was met with b resistance, there were no reported casualties on the Indian side.

Encounter Between Security Forces and Terrorists in Bandipora

On Friday, an encounter between Indian soldiers and terrorists erupted in Bandipora, North Kashmir. Sources indicate the encounter began during a search operation targeting terrorists. Two Indian soldiers sustained injuries during the engagement. The encounter intensified after terrorists hiding in the Kulnar Bazipura area of Bandipora opened fire on security forces. A thorough search operation by security forces is underway.

Increase in Terrorist Attacks

Along with the increased provocations from Pakistan, there has been a rise in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Recently, security forces raided a house in Tral, Pulwama district, while searching for terrorists. The troops discovered explosive materials inside the house, prompting their immediate evacuation. A powerful explosion followed shortly after their exit. Fortunately, the soldiers escaped unharmed.

Action Against Terrorists in Pulwama

Another threat emerged during a search operation conducted by the army in Pulwama. An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and explosive materials were discovered in a house. The army immediately deployed a bomb disposal squad, but an explosion occurred before they could neutralize the threat. Security forces narrowly escaped injury.

India's Firm Stance Amidst Growing Cross-Border Threats

Following India's b measures against Pakistan, Pakistan has intensified ceasefire violations along the LoC. However, the Indian Army remains capable of effectively responding to any Pakistani aggression. The army and other security agencies are actively engaged in counter-terrorism operations, maintaining a high state of alert to ensure national security.
