Indian Railways Deploys 30 Pairs of Special Trains to Manage Holi Rush

To manage the expected surge in passenger traffic during Holi, Indian Railways has decided to operate 30 pairs of special trains from various stations in Bihar, including Patna, Danapur, Samastipur, and Darbhanga. This initiative aims to provide significant relief to travelers and ensure smoother journeys.

Special Trains from Patna, Danapur, and Other Cities

The Railways has increased the number of special trains for Holi. These trains will operate from Patna Junction, Danapur, Samastipur, Raxaul, Saharsa, Darbhanga, Katihar, Jaynagar, Muzaffarpur, and Buxar, offering enhanced convenience to travelers in Bihar.

Holi Special Vande Bharat Train Commences Operations

A special Vande Bharat Express train has also been introduced for Holi. This train will operate until March 20th, traveling via DDU (Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction) and Prayagraj. It will run six days a week, excluding Tuesdays.

Train Schedule:

From New Delhi: Departure at 8:30 AM, arrival in Patna at 8:10 PM.
From Patna: Departure at 8:30 AM, arrival in New Delhi at 8:10 PM.

Special Trains from Patna to Gondia and Udaipur

Special trains will also connect Patna to Gondia and Udaipur for Holi.

Patna-Gondia Special: This train will depart from Gondia on March 11th and 12th and from Patna on March 12th and 13th.
Patna-Udaipur Special: This train will travel via Ara, DDU, Prayagraj, Kanpur, and Agra.
Departure from Udaipur: March 11th, 18th, and 25th
Departure from Patna: March 13th, 20th, and 27th

Other Important Trains Passing Through Patna

Several special trains have been added to the Patna route to improve connectivity for Bihar's travelers. These include:

Udaipur City-Farbisganj Special Train (via Patliputra)
Malda-Anand Vihar Special Train (via Patna)
Malda-Delhi Special Train (operated via Patna)

Special Trains from Danapur to Lokmanya Tilak and Pune

Danapur station will also see the operation of special trains during Holi.

Danapur-Lokmanya Tilak Special:

Departure from Lokmanya Tilak: March 15th and 17th
Return from Danapur: March 11th, 16th, and 18th
This train will travel via DDU, Prayagraj, Chhivkhi, Maihar, Itarsi, and Bhusaval.

Danapur-Pune Special:

Departure from Pune: March 14th and 17th
Return from Danapur: March 12th, 16th, and 19th

Significant Relief for Holi Travelers

This decision by the Railways will provide considerable relief to travelers to and from Bihar. The operation of these special trains will make travel during Holi more convenient and comfortable. The railway administration has urged passengers to book tickets in advance and adhere to railway guidelines during their journey.
