PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects in Varanasi on Friday. In his address, he emotionally thanked the residents of Kashi and reiterated his deep connection with the city.
Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards Distributed to Senior Citizens
On this occasion, the Prime Minister presented Ayushman Vay Vandana cards to three senior citizens over the age of 70 – Dinesh Kumar Rawat, Rajiv Prasad, and Durgawati Devi. These cards aim to provide elderly citizens with affordable and accessible healthcare services.
GI Tags and Dairy Bonus Also Distributed
Prime Minister Modi presented Ramesh Kumar with GI certificates for Banarasi Shehnai and Lakhimpur Kheri's Chhiti Tharu Embroidery. He also transferred ₹106 crore as a bonus online to 2.70 lakh dairy farmers of the state from Banas Dairy.
Mention of Cultural and Social Symbols
Modi extended greetings on Hanumat Jayanti and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti. He stated that the government is continuing the work initiated by Mahatma Phule towards empowering women and boosting their confidence.
Prime Minister's Vision for Kashi's Development
The Prime Minister stated that today, Kashi is not just a symbol of cultural heritage but also a center for the economic growth of Purvanchal. New projects will provide this region with new directions in industrial and social development.
Mention of 75% Growth in the Dairy Sector
The Prime Minister mentioned that India has achieved 75% growth in the dairy sector in the last 10 years and has now become the world's largest milk producer. He shared the story of "Lakhpati Didis," highlighting how women are becoming self-reliant.
Strong Support for the Dairy and Animal Husbandry Sector
PM Modi stated that the dairy sector is being advanced in mission mode. Livestock farmers are being provided with Kisan Credit Card facilities, loan limits have been increased, and a free vaccination program for livestock is also underway. Over 20,000 Dairy Cooperative Societies have been reactivated to enable more people to benefit from organized efforts.
