Sanjay Nirupam Accuses Uddhav Thackeray and Congress of Wakf Land Encroachment and Receiving Funds from Muslim Organizations; Claims MVA Alliance is Crumbling
Maharashtra News: Sanjay Nirupam, a leader of the Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena, launched a scathing attack on the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) and the opposition regarding the Wakf Act. After previously criticizing Uddhav Thackeray, he now made controversial statements concerning the Muslim community. During a press conference on April 6th, Nirupam alleged that the Congress has illegally occupied Wakf lands and that several Maulanas have also encroached upon these lands, demanding an investigation into these matters.
Congress Accused of Illegal Occupation of Wakf Lands
Nirupam stated, "The Maharashtra government should prepare a report. There are over 90,000 acres of Wakf land illegally occupied by the Congress. This issue needs to be highlighted, and an investigation should be conducted into the Maulanas involved in business activities on these lands."
Allegations of Receiving Funds from Muslim Organizations
Nirupam further alleged, "When the UBT took a stand against Wakf, their Rajya Sabha leader became agitated, and Sanjay Raut called Praful Patel a broker and a henchman of Dawood. In fact, after the Wakf issue, Uddhav Thackeray's party's standing declined, and Sanjay Raut has realized that they played the wrong card. They compromised for Muslim votes and are receiving funds from Muslim organizations."
Remarks on Ram Navami
During Ram Navami, Sanjay Nirupam stated, "It is shameful that while the entire country celebrates the birth of Lord Ram, some individuals with a jihadi mindset deliberately try to disrupt the atmosphere. The government has to issue alerts. It is unfortunate that Hindus have to approach courts to take out their Shobha Yatras."
Uddhav Thackeray: 'Messiah of Muslims'
Nirupam further stated, "Uddhav Thackeray is now following in the footsteps of Mamata Banerjee; he has become the Mamata Banerjee of Maharashtra and the messiah of Muslims."
