Upon receiving information about the incident, East Coast Railway officials, along with the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Sambalpur, immediately reached the site and assessed the situation. Authorities promptly launched an investigation and began the process of restoring the derailed wagons.
Several Trains Affected
This incident affected train services on the Titilagarh-Raipur route, causing delays for several trains. According to information released by the railway, 58218 Raipur-Titlagarh Passenger was delayed by 3 hours and 52 minutes, 18005 Samaleswari Express was delayed by 1 hour and 20 minutes, and 18006 Samaleswari Express was delayed by 1 hour and 2 minutes. Similarly, 18425 Puri-Durg Express was delayed by 2 hours, and 18426 Durg-Puri Express was delayed by 3 hours and 32 minutes. Railway administration is working to restore the affected route as quickly as possible.
