Ongoing Encounter Between Security Forces and Terrorists in Jouf Village, Udhampur. 2-3 Terrorists Cornered. Search Intensified for Terrorists Linked to Kathua Encounter.

Jammu-Kashmir: An encounter has taken place between security forces and terrorists during a joint search operation conducted by the Army and Jammu & Kashmir Police in Jouf village, Ramnagar area, Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir. Upon detection of the terrorists' presence, security forces cordoned off the area, leading to an ongoing exchange of fire.

DIG Confirms Information

DIG Udhampur-Reasi range, Mohammad Bhat, confirmed that two to three terrorists are trapped in the area. He stated that a tight security cordon has been established around Jouf village, and all suspicious movements are being closely monitored.

Terrorists Possibly Linked to Kathua Encounter

Following the encounter that began on March 24th in the Sanial area of Kathua district, three separate skirmishes have occurred. Intensive search operations have been underway in Kathua and Udhampur for the past 17 days. Terrorists have been sighted near villages during these operations. There is a suspicion that the terrorists involved in the Udhampur encounter may be among those involved in the Kathua encounter.

Four Security Personnel Martyred in Kathua

It is noteworthy that while two terrorists were eliminated in a major encounter on March 27th, four police personnel lost their lives. Following this incident, security forces issued a high alert across the region and intensified operations to apprehend the fleeing terrorists.

Security Forces Maintain Vigilance

The Army and Police are maintaining strict surveillance on all suspicious activities. Drone surveillance, sniffer dogs, and modern technology are being used for thorough investigation of the area to ensure no terrorists escape.
