CM Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates Bio-CNG Plant and Phaphamau Steel Bridge in Prayagraj. He also inspected the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 and announced the renaming of Shahi Snan to 'Amrit Snan'.
Prayagraj: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Tuesday, where he inaugurated several significant projects and reviewed the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025.
He first inaugurated the Bio-CNG plant located in Naini and then launched the steel bridge at Phaphamau. Following this, CM Yogi inspected the works related to Mahakumbh, reviewed the condition of the ghats, and performed Achman (ritual sipping of water) with Ganga water.
Renaming of Shahi Snan: 'Amrit Snan'
During his visit, the Chief Minister made an important announcement. He stated that, considering the long-standing demand of the saints, the Shahi Snan that takes place during Mahakumbh will now be known as 'Amrit Snan'. CM Yogi announced this renaming during a review meeting with officials at the Mela Authority auditorium.
Review of Mahakumbh 2025 Preparations
During the meeting, Kumbh Mela officer Vijay Kiran Anand provided information on the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025. He stated that work on nearly 200 roads has been completed, including the construction of flyovers. Additionally, the work of creating holding areas in the city, at the bus station, and at the railway station has also been completed.
Construction of Important Works for Mahakumbh
Work has been carried out in a two- to three-kilometer radius for parking in the Mela area, and 30 pontoon bridges have been constructed, out of which 28 are fully ready. Additionally, 12 kilometers of temporary ghats and 530 kilometers of checkered plates have been laid.
Pipelines have also been laid for the supply of clean drinking water. In addition, more than seven thousand institutions have arrived, and more than one and a half lakh tents are being set up.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit has made it clear that preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 are in full swing, and this year's Mahakumbh will be given a new form.
