Which States are Affected?
According to the IMD, rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan on February 28th. Additionally, thunderstorm and lightning warnings have been issued for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal until March 1st. Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep can also expect rainfall from February 28th to March 2nd.
A new Western Disturbance will become active from March 2nd, increasing the likelihood of rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh. Uttarakhand will experience rainfall between March 2nd and 4th, while Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh might see light showers on March 3rd.

Wind speeds of 35 to 55 km/h are expected in the Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, Gulf of Mannar, and Lakshadweep regions.
