Samajwadi Party MLA Pallavi Patel Detained During Lucknow Protest

UP Politics: Pallavi Patel, a Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA representing Sirathu constituency and a leader of the Apna Dal (Kamerawadi), was detained in Lucknow. Patel herself shared this information on the social media platform X, stating, "I was protesting on the streets of Lucknow against the attack and violence at the home of a Dalit MP. Hundreds of colleagues were detained with me. The struggle will continue."

Protest Against Attack on SP MP's Home

Pallavi Patel protested against the vandalism carried out by the Karni Sena at the residence of Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman. During the protest, she accused the government and administration of conspiring against Dalits. She stated that MP Ramji Lal Suman comes from a Dalit family, and the attack on his home was part of a planned conspiracy.

Police Send Protesters to Eco Garden

The SP MLA and her supporters attempted a march from Lucknow's Parivartan Chowk to Hazratganj. However, police barricaded Parivartan Chowk, preventing the march and subsequently transporting all protesters to Eco Garden in buses. This police action led to resentment among SP workers.

What is the Full Story?

On Tuesday, March 26th, Karni Sena activists attacked and vandalized the Agra residence of Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman. The Karni Sena members were protesting Suman's statement, which allegedly contained objectionable remarks regarding Rana Sanga. SP Levels Serious Allegations Against the Government

The Samajwadi Party has targeted the BJP government over this incident. Party leaders claim the government is encouraging violence against Dalits and attempting to suppress democratic protests.
