Consideration of a New Ceasefire Proposal

The Israeli Prime Minister's office has confirmed receiving a new ceasefire proposal from Egyptian and Qatari mediators. Israel has indicated it is considering the proposal and has also submitted its own counter-proposal to the mediators.

Hamas Approves New Proposal

In a televised address, Khalil al-Hayya, a senior Hamas official, announced that Hamas has accepted the Gaza ceasefire proposal presented by the mediators and is now appealing to Israel for its support. However, he warned that Hamas's weapons are a red line, and no compromise will be made on this issue.

Addressing the Israeli cabinet, PM Netanyahu stated that Israel is maintaining a balance between war and negotiation. He suggested that cracks are appearing in Hamas's demands and that the time has come for Hamas to disarm.
