India-Chile Trade Relations: A Rainbow of Opportunities

PM Modi and President Boric held important discussions aimed at further strengthening this growing trade relationship. Despite exporting 80% of its lithium production to China, the growing relationship between India and Chile suggests potential for increased cooperation in several areas, including lithium, in the future.

India's Move Towards Stronger Partnerships with South American Nations

The Chilean President's visit is considered a significant step towards giving a new dimension to India's relations with South American countries. Recently, Peruvian Foreign Minister, Ana Cecilia Gervasi, also visited India, and both countries agreed to initiate discussions on a free trade agreement. Similarly, there is a possibility of such an agreement with Chile, which would further strengthen relations between India and South America.
