Sanjay Raut Calls 'Saugat-e-Modi' Kit an Election Gimmick, Accuses PM Modi of Appeasing Muslims
Saugat-E-Modi: The Modi government is distributing special 'Saugat-e-Modi' kits to approximately 4 million Muslim families across India on the occasion of Eid. BJP workers, under government instruction, are distributing these kits door-to-door, presenting them as a gift from the government. This move has drawn reactions from opposition parties.
Sanjay Raut's Sharp Attack
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut questioned this initiative, calling it an election tactic. He stated, "Today is Hindu New Year, and Marathi New Year is also being celebrated in Maharashtra. Eid is also approaching. Taking advantage of this, PM Modi has distributed these kits to the Muslim community as 'Eidi' (gift money). BJP workers have been instructed to interact with people in mosques and Muslim settlements."
'PM Modi's Language Changes Before Elections'
Targeting PM Modi, Raut said, "His language changes when elections approach. Earlier, he made different statements regarding Muslims, but now, with the Bihar elections and increased international pressure, he's trying to portray himself as a friend of Muslims. This is all just a political charade."
Comments on PM Modi's Nagpur Visit
Raut also commented sarcastically on PM Modi's visit to Nagpur. He said, "He has been Prime Minister for over 10 years, but hadn't visited the RSS headquarters until now. He's going to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat only in view of the Lok Sabha elections. This visit is merely a way to manage political equations."
Raut Also Speaks on BJP President's Selection
Sanjay Raut also made a pointed remark on the delay in selecting the BJP's national president. He claimed, "The Sangh wants the BJP president to be of their choice, which is why this decision is delayed. It's an internal BJP matter, but it clearly shows the Sangh's direct influence on the party."
