Relief from the scorching heat is expected to arrive soon in Jharkhand, but this relief comes with a warning. The meteorological department has issued a 72-hour alert for seven districts, predicting continuous rain, b winds, hailstorms, and thunderstorms starting April 27th.

Weather Update: Jharkhand is set for another weather shift. According to the meteorological department's forecast, Ranchi and surrounding areas will experience partly cloudy skies on Saturday, although the weather will remain dry. Sunday is expected to see cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms.

Seven districts in the state are predicted to have generally cloudy skies on April 28th and 29th, with light to moderate rain in some areas. This weather pattern is expected to continue on April 30th and May 1st, with cloudy skies and intermittent rain.

Alert Issued for These Districts

According to the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Ramgarh, Khunti, and Lohardaga districts from the night of April 27th to April 30th. These districts are predicted to experience light to moderate rain with thunderstorms. Winds could reach speeds of 50-60 km/h, and hailstorms are also anticipated in several areas.

Considering the weather warning, the meteorological department has issued an orange alert, advising caution. Farmers and those working outdoors are urged to exercise extra precaution.

Rising Temperatures in Ranchi, but Relief on the Way

On Friday, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 39.3°C, 2.3°C above normal. The minimum temperature was 22.2°C, slightly below normal. The scorching sun caused considerable discomfort, but a change in weather is anticipated from Saturday. Partly cloudy skies are expected in the capital and surrounding areas on Saturday, while rain with thunderstorms may begin on Sunday. Meteorologists predict a 5-7°C drop in maximum temperature over the next three days, bringing relief from the heat.

Trough Line Causes Deteriorating Weather

According to the meteorological department, this weather change is due to a trough line extending from the Bay of Bengal to sub-Himalayan West Bengal, approximately 1.5 km above sea level. This trough line is passing over Jharkhand, increasing humidity and atmospheric instability in several districts. According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, warm winds are likely in southern and northern Jharkhand, with persistent humidity. Thunderstorms with b winds are possible in some areas, potentially impacting daily life.
