Rajasthan transfers 123 RPS officers ahead of local body and panchayat elections, with several changes in the Jaipur Police Commissionerate and first postings for 48 trainee RPS officers.

Ahead of the upcoming local body and panchayat elections in Rajasthan, 123 Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) officers have been transferred. Several Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) responsibilities have been changed in the Jaipur Police Commissionerate, while 48 trainee RPS officers have been given their first postings in various districts and police units.

The transfer orders were issued late Tuesday night by Rajasthan Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma and have come into effect immediately. All concerned officers have been directed to assume charge at their new places of posting without delay.

Several officers in the Jaipur Police Commissionerate have been given new responsibilities under the transfer order. Narendra Kumar has been assigned as ACP, Police Control Room, while Hemraj has been posted as ACP, Cyber Crime, and Jethu Singh as ACP, Sodala.

Dilip Kumar Meena has been given responsibility as ACP, Shastri Nagar. Sangram Singh has been posted as ACP, Cyber Crime, Jitendra Singh as ACP, Adarsh Nagar, and Krishnaraj Jangid as ACP, Chomu. Narendra Kumar has also been assigned responsibility as ACP, Women Cell.

Dr Poonam has been appointed ACP, Ashok Nagar, while Shivdayal Balai has been given responsibility as ACP, Malviya Nagar. Deepak Kumar Khandelwal has been posted as ACP, Sanganer, and Dharmendra Kumar Sharma as ACP, Bagru.

The appointments involve changes in leadership across several police areas of Jaipur.

The order also cancels previously issued transfers of 10 officers. According to the list, transfers of Anil Jasoria, Abdul Rahman, Hazari Lal Khatana, Vijay Kumar Arya, Surendra Kumar, Manish Kumar Sharma, Narendra Kumar Dayama, Surendra Kumar, Brijesh Kumar Jatav and Ramesh Kumar Pareek have been cancelled.

Following the cancellation of their transfers, the officers are expected to remain at their existing postings. Other officers have been directed to assume charge according to their new postings.

Along with the transfer of RPS officers, 48 trainee RPS officers have been posted to different districts and police units. Orders concerning their postings were issued by Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters, Biju George Joseph.

The trainee officers have been assigned to different parts of the state following their training. Their postings come as preparations are underway for local body and panchayat elections in Rajasthan.

The new postings also include changes in the traffic wing of the Jaipur Police Commissionerate. Om Prakash Godara has been assigned responsibility as ACP, Kotwali. Neha Rao has been posted as ACP, Traffic South Second, while Kamal Kumar has been given responsibility as ACP, Traffic North.

The transfer process has continued in Rajasthan ahead of the local body and panchayat elections. Earlier on Tuesday evening, the Rajasthan government transferred 183 RAS officers. A large transfer list of police service officers was issued a few hours later.

The State Election Commission had earlier directed the transfer of officers who had been posted at the same place for a long period or were serving in their home districts. The stated purpose of such transfers during the election process is to maintain administrative impartiality.

Changes in the postings of administrative and police officers ahead of the elections are aimed at maintaining an impartial and effective election administration. The new RPS list includes changes across several districts and police units in the state.

The police department's orders state that the transfers will take effect immediately. The concerned officers have been directed to assume charge at their new places of posting as soon as possible.

The changes include responsibilities related to crime control, cybercrime, women's safety, traffic and law and order in the Jaipur Police Commissionerate. The 123 RPS transfers and postings of 48 trainee officers come amid preparations for the local body and panchayat elections in Rajasthan.
