AIIMS INI CET Counselling: The counselling process for the AIIMS INI CET January 2026 session has officially begun. Candidates aspiring for admission to MD, MS, MDS, and DM/MCh courses can now register online. All candidates who have qualified the INI CET January 2026 exam are eligible to participate in the counselling. This time, a total of 32,374 candidates can participate in the counselling process.
Candidates belonging to OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PwBD categories must possess a valid category certificate. In case of an incorrect or expired certificate, the candidate will be deemed ineligible.
Age Limit Guidelines for Special Institutions
In this counselling process, two institutions have implemented special conditions this time. NIMHANS Bengaluru and SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram have set an upper age limit for their courses. Candidates should thoroughly check the age-related guidelines of these two institutions before commencing counselling.
Counselling Schedule
The important dates set for AIIMS INI CET January 2026 counselling are as follows. Candidates must complete all steps within the specified deadlines.
- Mock Round Choice Filling – December 6 to 9 (until 5 PM)
- Mock Allotment Result – December 11
- First Round Choice Filling – December 12 to 13
- First Round Allotment – December 18
- Seat Acceptance – December 19 to 24 (until 5 PM)
- Document Submission/Reporting – December 19 to 24 (until 5 PM)
- Second Round Allotment – January 9
- Seat Acceptance – January 10 (11 AM) to January 15 (5 PM)
- Document Submission/Reporting – January 10 (11 AM) to January 15 (5 PM)
Through these steps, admission will be granted to MD, MS, MDS, DM, and MCh courses in AIIMS institutions, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, PGIMER Chandigarh, and SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram.

Important Guidelines for Candidates
Candidates should keep the following rules in mind before starting the counselling.
1 Verify Age Limit.
NIMHANS and SCTIMST have set an upper age limit. Candidates seeking admission to these institutions should confirm these rules.
2 Valid Category Certificate Required.
Candidates from OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PwBD categories can only participate in counselling with valid certificates.
3 Adhere to the Schedule.
Complete choice filling, seat acceptance, and reporting within the specified dates. In case of delay, candidates may be excluded from counselling.
4 Rules will remain applicable after Round 1.
If seats remain vacant after the first round, age limit and document-related rules will continue to apply in subsequent rounds.
