One such personality is actress Akanksha Singh, who has come a long and inspiring journey from being a trained physiotherapist to a successful actress.

Beginning in Jaipur, Where Acting Became a Dream

Born on July 30, 1990, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, acting was not a new field for Akanksha Singh. Her mother was a theater artist herself, which gave her a connection to the world of stage and performance from childhood. However, she initially focused on her academic career and obtained a degree in physiotherapy. During this time, her passion for theatre remained, and she continued to do theatre alongside her studies.

Recognition from the Small Screen

Akanksha Singh's first big break came in 2012 when she got the opportunity to play the lead role in the television show 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha'. Her effortless acting and the seriousness with which she played the character won the hearts of the audience and she became a household name. After this, in 2015, she played the role of Anahita Mehta Fernandes in 'Gulmohar Grand', which was a unique show based on the hotel industry. In 2016, she became a participant in 'Box Cricket League' and in 2017, she was seen in the role of a lawyer in the show 'Aye Zindagi'.

Entry into Bollywood and South Cinema

After success on the small screen, Akanksha stepped into Bollywood in 2017 with the film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania'. In the same year, she played the lead role in the Telugu film 'Malli Raava', which gave her tremendous recognition in the South Industry. Her acting was highly praised by both critics and audiences. In 2018, she appeared in the Telugu film 'Devadas' with superstar Nagarjuna. Apart from this, she also acted in two short films – 'Methi Ke Laddu' and 'Qaid'.

In 2019, she worked with actor Sudeep in the Kannada film 'Pailwaan'. This film was released in multiple languages and proved to be a big hit at the box office. Akanksha Singh did not limit herself to just TV and films. She made her OTT platform debut in 2021 with the Disney+ Hotstar web series 'Parampara'. After that, in 2022, she played the role of a police officer in 'Escaype Live'. In the same year, she also gave a b performance in 'Rangbaaz: Darr Ki Rajneeti' and Telugu anthology 'Meet Cute'.

In 2022, Akanksha played the role of Ajay Devgn's wife Samaira Khanna in the film 'Runway 34', which was her second big Hindi film. In this film, her restrained acting once again proved that she is a versatile and reliable actress.
