Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav will visit Ayodhya on Thursday and attend a Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at the Krishna Pur residence of former minister Tejnarayan Pandey Pawan.
Akhilesh Yadav is scheduled to reach Ayodhya at around 4 p.m. on Thursday. According to the programme, his helicopter will land at a temporary helipad set up at the Pursaen Ramleela Maidan. He will then travel by car to the venue of the religious programme in Krishna Pur.
He is scheduled to reach the programme venue at around 4:20 p.m., where he will attend the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha and listen to the narration.
The Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at the residence of former minister Tejnarayan Pandey Pawan has been underway since October 2. The event will conclude with the Purnahuti on October 9, followed by a Bhandara.

The family of the former minister is organising the religious programme following the death of his mother. The Bhagwat Katha was organised after his father returned from Gaya. According to religious belief, family members undertake a pilgrimage to Gaya for the peace and salvation of the departed soul.
Akhilesh Yadav's visit is also expected to draw Samajwadi Party leaders and workers from Ayodhya and nearby districts to Krishna Pur. Party leaders may meet the national president during his visit.
The return time for Akhilesh Yadav has not been specified, leaving the duration of his stay in Ayodhya unclear. Preparations are being made locally for his visit.
Along with attending the religious programme, his visit is also expected to provide an opportunity for contact with the party's local organisation and leaders.
