Akhilesh Yadav demanded that the UP government make the complete data of the SIR process public and stop the pressure on BLOs. He alleged that there is a conspiracy to remove PDA community voters from the list in several areas.

Akhilesh Yadav: Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has demanded that the Uttar Pradesh government immediately make public the progress made in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. He stated that the process of preparing the voter list in the state should be completely transparent and that no “deadly pressure” should be put on Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

Raising the issue in his official X post on Friday, Akhilesh Yadav said that the government should bring forth the complete data of the SIR work done so far, so that the public can be informed of the real situation.

Demand to Publish Full SIR Data

Akhilesh Yadav stated that the public has every right to know at what stage the Special Intensive Revision of the voter list in the state has reached. He urged the government to immediately issue an order to upload all data of the actions taken so far on a public platform. Transparency alone will reveal in which areas the voter list work has been carried out honestly and where irregularities are being concealed.

Appeal to Remove Pressure on BLOs

The SP chief also stated that unnecessary and “deadly pressure” is being put on Booth Level Officers (BLOs). He urged the government to immediately remove this pressure and, if necessary, deploy additional authorized staff for this work so that the workload on BLOs does not increase abnormally.

Akhilesh Yadav emphasized that the state must ensure a fair election process, and for this, there should be no political pressure on field-level staff.

Allegation of Conspiracy to Remove PDA Community from Voter List

Akhilesh Yadav made a serious allegation, stating that a conspiracy is being hatched in several assembly constituencies to remove people from the PDA community (Backward, Dalit, Minority) from the voter list. He demanded a thorough investigation into this and that any such attempt should be immediately stopped.

He added that the ruling party and its supporters should not interfere “through the back door” in this process, nor should they be allowed to do so in the future.
