Parole Period and Order
The Allahabad High Court granted Kapil Muni Karwariya and his brother Surajbhan Karwariya permission to be on parole from October 4 to October 10.
The Court also stated that during this period, they would remain in police custody (at their own expense) and would return to jail at the stipulated time.
Previous Bail Applications and Relief
Previously, the High Court had granted them bail, but the jail superintendent refused their release due to non-availability of bail in another corruption case (in Manjhanpur police station area).
The High Court had ordered them to be granted bail on furnishing a personal bond and two securities.
Cases and Sentences
Kapil Muni Karwariya, along with his brothers Udaybhan and Surajbhan, all three have been sentenced to life imprisonment in the Jawahar Pandit murder case.
They also face political cases and corruption charges — one corruption case is registered at Manjhanpur police station.
In addition to the corruption case, there is also a case of violation of the election code of conduct against them.
Conditions and Obligations
During their release on parole, they must inform the local police station. (This condition is mentioned in the main news report)
If they fail to return on time, their bail may be cancelled and action may be taken against them and their sureties.
—The parole period will not be counted as part of their sentence.
