New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur on his 350th martyrdom day, stating that the ninth Sikh Guru made an unparalleled sacrifice for the protection of his own culture and religion, alongside spiritual practice. Shah said that Guru Tegh Bahadur was not only a spiritual guide but also a great warrior who fought to protect religion and culture from brutal invaders.

Home Minister's Message to 'Hind ki Chadar'

In his message on 'X', Amit Shah paid homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur, referring to him as "Hind ki Chadar" (The Shield of India). He stated that Guru Sahib performed extraordinary work in a single lifetime across three paths: spiritual practice (sadhana), holy congregation (satsang), and the protection of culture. According to Shah, Guru Tegh Bahadur fought for the Kashmiri Pandits and sacrificed everything to protect religion by challenging the tyrannical Mughal rule.

Guru Sahib's Saga Full of Valor and Sacrifice

The Home Minister stated that Guru Tegh Bahadur's tale of sacrifice is full of valor, restraint, renunciation, and dedication. Remembering his martyrdom still fills the heart with pride today and further strengthens the resolve for national defense. Shah said that Guru Sahib's sacrifice is an example in Indian history that will continue to inspire future generations forever.

Tribute with 500 Drones in Anandpur Sahib

On Monday, a grand show of 500 drones was organized in Anandpur Sahib, Punjab, on the 350th anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal attended the event. The drone show beautifully depicted the life, thoughts, and martyrdom of the ninth Sikh Guru. Chief Minister Mann described it as the first such large-scale drone tribute dedicated to "Hind ki Chadar" in North India.

Three-Day Program with Special Session

During this three-day special program, the Punjab Assembly convened a special session at Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial Park in Anandpur Sahib. This was the first time the Punjab Assembly had conducted business outside the state capital. The session extensively discussed ideas related to Guru Tegh Bahadur's life, his teachings, and the historical background of his martyrdom.
