Anil Vij Removes 'Minister' From X Bio, Aims to Boost Independent Political Identity

Haryana leader Anil Vij has removed the word 'Minister' from his name on X. He stated that he is taking this step not for the position, but to enhance his political identity and social media presence.

Ambala: Veteran Haryana leader and minister Anil Vij has removed the word 'Minister' from in front of his name on his social media account X (formerly Twitter). Now, only 'Ambala Cantt Haryana' is written next to his name. This change was made late at night and has fueled discussions within the BJP and political circles. Until yesterday, his account displayed 'Minister Haryana, India' along with his name.

Reason for removing the word 'Minister'

Explaining the reason for this change, Anil Vij said that he wants to enhance his social media presence and is not dependent on any tag or position. He clarified that he wishes to increase his viewership as Anil Vij, not as a minister. Vij stated that he had registered on social media before becoming a minister, and his Facebook page also does not display 'Minister'.

Social Media Followers

The 72-year-old Anil Vij has over eight lakh followers on social media. This move conveys the message that he wants to connect directly with the public and supporters on social media. On Tuesday, he changed his bio to 'Anil Vij Ambala Cantt Haryana, India'. This step is considered a symbol of his independent political identity and direct presence on digital platforms.

Discontent in Ambala Cantt

Some time ago, Anil Vij caused a stir in political circles with a post on X. He wrote that some people in Ambala Cantt are running a parallel BJP and have the blessing of "the higher-ups." The word 'blessing' in this post further fueled party and political discussions. Vij wrote that the party is suffering significant losses and expressed concern over such issues.

Questioning the Government

This is not the first time Anil Vij has questioned the party and the government. He had previously accused his own party leaders and officials of working against him in the assembly elections. He stated that after becoming Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini is "on a high horse" and his supporters worked against him in the elections.

Vij had also shared photos of activities and leaders during the assembly elections on social media. Among these, pictures of some party leaders with Chitra Sarwara went viral. This generated further discussion in the political atmosphere. His statements and photos made it clear that Anil Vij is active on issues of parallel activities and internal factionalism within the party.
