Azamgarh: Gangster Mangru's ₹11.39 Lakh Assets Confiscated for Cow Slaughter and Illegal Earnings

Azamgarh. On Wednesday, the administration confiscated assets worth 11.39 lakh rupees belonging to notorious gangster Mangru alias Mangal, who is involved in cow slaughter and other criminal activities. The action was taken in the Phoolpur tehsil area by a joint team of police and the revenue department, under the orders of the District Magistrate.

According to officials, Mangru had purchased 31 dismil land in Mahul Pargana with illegal earnings and had also constructed a concrete house on it. The revenue department has valued it at ₹11,39,295. Police claim that this property was acquired with money earned through crimes related to cow slaughter, animal cruelty, and narcotics.

The Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) stated that the action was taken under the Gangster Act. Officials said that similar actions would continue in the future to break the economic power of criminals.

Police officials informed that other suspicious properties of Mangru and his associates are also being investigated. The team stated that the objective of the campaign is to financially cripple the crime network.
