Mohna village in Ballabhgarh is facing prolonged power supply disruptions, affecting an estimated population of around 12,000 residents. According to the electricity department, the interruption is linked to ongoing work to replace cables and conductors, and the power crisis may continue for the next three to five days.

Residents said electricity outages are occurring for extended periods during both daytime and nighttime, affecting normal daily life. The department stated that old conductors and cables in the area are being replaced, requiring repeated suspension of power supply during the work.
Officials said the work is expected to continue for another three to five days. Improvement in the power supply system is expected after the project is completed.
Power cuts have had a direct impact on drinking water supply and household activities. Residents said the lack of electricity has created difficulties in drawing and storing water. In several areas, motors and pumps are not functioning, leading to additional inconvenience.
Continued outages amid heat and humidity have increased difficulties for elderly residents, children and patients. Power disruptions during nighttime have affected sleep, while mosquito-related problems have also persisted.
Residents reported that transformer- and phase-related issues have also been occurring in parts of the village. In several instances, electricity has been available on only one or two phases, while some areas have experienced complete supply disruptions.
Frequent tripping has also led to complaints about damage to household electrical appliances. Residents have demanded an increase in transformer capacity and strengthening of the distribution network.
Officials of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam said the current disruption is temporary and that normal power supply will resume once the line improvement work is completed. The department appealed for public cooperation and said electricity supply in the area would become more stable after completion of the project.
For now, thousands of residents in Mohna village may continue to face power supply disruptions for the next few days while the department works to complete the upgrade.
