Bihar Board Releases 3rd Merit List for Intermediate Admissions 2025-27

The Bihar Board has released the third merit list for intermediate admissions. Students whose names are on this list can take admission in the respective school or college from July 28 to July 31, 2025. The list has been released online and is available separately for all districts.

Delhi: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the third selection list for students seeking admission to Class 11 (Intermediate) for the academic session 2025-27. This list has been made public through the OFSS (Online Facilitation System for Students) portal. This is a golden opportunity for students who have not yet been allotted a seat or who have filled in new options.

Students can view this list by logging into their account on ofssbihar.net and get all the information related to admission.

Where to view the third merit list?

BSEB has released separate merit lists online for all districts. Students and parents can view the selection list by visiting the official website and entering their details. After clicking on the 'Student Login' or '3rd Merit List' option on the website, you will have to login by entering your mobile number and OTP.

Students can take admission in the school or college mentioned in the list till July 31, 2025.

Admission process and last date

The board has clarified that the admission process based on the third list will run from July 28 to July 31, 2025. Students whose names appear in the list will have to visit the school/college with the necessary documents, fill the admission form and complete the enrollment process.

By when do institutions have to update the seats?

BSEB has directed all schools and colleges to update the status of seats by logging into the portal by August 1, 2025. This will make it easier to prepare the next list and information on vacant seats will also be revealed.

If students or parents face any problem during admission, they can get information by calling the helpline number 0612-2230009 issued by the board. The board has also created facilitation centers in all districts, where students can get assistance.

How many seats are being admitted this time?

This year, the Bihar Board has fixed a total of more than 17.50 lakh seats for enrollment in class 11th (Intermediate). These seats are available in 10,006 recognized +2 schools and inter colleges across the state.

The board has also clarified that degree colleges will not be admitted under this process. Only +2 level institutions are included in this.

What happened in the first two phases?

Lakhs of students have taken admission in Intermediate through the first and second merit lists. But even now many students could not get a seat or they chose the option of changing schools. The third merit list has brought another opportunity for them.

How to check your selection?

  1. First go to ofssbihar.net
  2. Click on "Student Login" on the homepage
  3. Login by entering your mobile number and OTP
  4. View your merit list information on the dashboard
  5. Download the details of the selected school and admission

Which documents will be required at the time of admission?

  • OFSS Intimation Letter
  • 10th class marksheet and certificate
  • Passport size photo (recent)
  • Aadhaar card or other valid identity card
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Local residence certificate (if requested)

Students are advised to carry copies and originals of all documents with them to the institution.

How to prepare further?

If the student has been selected in the third list, then the admission process should be completed before July 31 without delay. The fourth list may also be released by the board, but if the student has got the desired institution, then do not let this opportunity go by.

If you are selected in the third merit list of OFSS, then immediately check your information by visiting the website and complete the admission process in the concerned school/college. Any kind of delay can put your seat at risk.
