Delhi Security Tightened After Reports of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Death in Israel and US Attack

Security has been heightened across Delhi following reports of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a major attack by Israel and the United States. Additional police personnel have been deployed in sensitive areas as a precautionary measure.

Enhanced Security in Diplomatic and Shia-Dominated Areas

According to Delhi Police, security has been increased in areas housing diplomatic missions, embassy zones, and localities with a higher population of the Shia community. Additional police forces have been stationed to prevent any potential protests or untoward incidents.

From Sunday night, extra personnel were deployed in sensitive locations. Special attention is being given to areas with significant Shia populations and the presence of foreign embassies. Police stated that the measures are aimed solely at maintaining law and order.

A senior police officer said all police stations have been instructed to remain alert. Patrolling has been intensified in sensitive areas, and Quick Response Teams have been placed on alert. Police said the situation remains fully under control.

Focus on Maintaining Law and Order

In a statement issued from Police Headquarters, authorities said no laxity will be tolerated in maintaining law and order. Deployments are being reviewed continuously based on intelligence inputs.

The senior officer said necessary arrangements have been made as a precautionary step. Police are in contact with local community leaders to address any rumours or misunderstandings. Officials stated that peace prevails in the capital.

Social Media and Cyber Monitoring

In addition to ground-level deployments, monitoring has been intensified in the digital space. The cyber cell of Delhi Police is tracking rumours and inflammatory posts circulating on social media platforms.

Police said strict action will be taken against any fake news or provocative posts. Citizens have been urged not to share unverified information and to use social media responsibly.

Preparations for Possible Protests

Protests have begun in several parts of the world following reports of Khamenei’s death. In view of this, Delhi Police has prepared for any potential marches or demonstrations in the capital.

Authorities indicated that Section 144 may be imposed in sensitive areas if required. Arrangements have also been made for surveillance through drone cameras. Police said the objective is to prevent damage to public property and ensure the safety of residents.

Appeal for Calm

Delhi Police has appealed to citizens to maintain peace. People have been asked to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or helpline number. Officials urged the public not to pay attention to rumours and to rely only on information from official sources. Police and security agencies are monitoring the situation round the clock.
