Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed serious concern over recent developments in West Asia, stating that India has consistently supported the peaceful resolution of global disputes. He said New Delhi believes solutions to such matters should be pursued through dialogue and diplomacy, and described this approach as a permanent position of India’s foreign policy.
In a statement, the Prime Minister said India has always supported dialogue and diplomacy to resolve disputes and conflicts. He reiterated that international cooperation and collective efforts are necessary to ensure peace and stability, and said only negotiation and agreement can deliver lasting peace in situations of conflict.
Prime Minister Modi described terrorism, extremism and radicalism as serious global challenges. He said these threats are not limited to India but pose dangers to the entire world. Emphasising shared global concerns, he stated that all countries must work together to address such threats, adding that international cooperation and collective action are essential to maintaining global peace and stability.

Reaffirming India’s broader foreign policy position, the Prime Minister said India has always supported peace. He stated that when two democracies stand together, the appeal for peace becomes ber. He added that India has consistently advocated peace and stability in tense situations and works toward resolution rather than escalation in any global conflict.
Prime Minister Modi also said the Government of India is closely monitoring the current situation in West Asia. He assured that India is in contact with every country to ensure the safety of Indian citizens residing in the region. He said the government is taking all possible steps and working with regional countries to safeguard Indian nationals.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came immediately after joint military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran. Reports said Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and members of his family were killed in the attacks. The incident has increased tensions at the global level, and India described it as a matter of serious concern. The Prime Minister said that at such times, peace and dialogue remain the path to resolution.
Prime Minister Modi further stated that international cooperation is crucial to addressing challenges such as terrorism and extremism. He called on all countries to work together to confront such threats and to establish peace.
