Shocking results have emerged from the exit polls for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Most surveys are giving an advantage to the NDA, while according to Journo Mirror, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) is predicted to secure a majority, which could alter the political dynamics.
Bihar Exit Poll 2025: The exit polls for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 have introduced an interesting twist into the political dynamics. While most surveys are showing the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) in the lead, one exit poll has predicted a majority for the Mahagathbandhan (MGB). Particularly, Journo Mirror's survey has given a new dimension to the political landscape this time.
Mahagathbandhan Projected for Majority in Journo Mirror's Survey
According to Journo Mirror, the Mahagathbandhan is expected to secure 130 to 140 seats this time. In contrast, the figure for the NDA is reported to be limited to only 100 to 110 seats. The result of this survey is completely opposite to the predictions of all other survey agencies. Journo Mirror claims that the public is in a mood for change this time, and a new political dynamic could emerge in the state.
According to the survey, public priority is now focused on government stability and development. It also indicates a growing inclination towards the Mahagathbandhan among young voters and women voters. This situation suggests a shift in politics compared to previous elections.
NDA Leads in Other Surveys
On the other hand, other major survey agencies such as P-Marq, Peoples Pulse, DV Research, Matrize IANS, Chanakya, Poll Diary, and Praja Poll Analytics have shown the NDA close to or above the majority mark. These surveys have predicted the NDA to win between 130 and 209 seats.
For the Mahagathbandhan, the figures in these surveys are lower, ranging from 32 to 108 seats. This clearly indicates that most analysts still consider the NDA's position to be b.

Comparison with 2020 Assembly Elections
In the last Assembly elections in 2020, the NDA alliance registered a victory and formed the government. At that time, the NDA secured a total of 125 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan achieved success on 110 seats.
Within the NDA, the BJP secured 74 seats, JD(U) got 43 seats, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) won 4 seats, and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) also got 4 seats.
In the Mahagathbandhan, RJD emerged as the single largest party, securing 75 seats. Congress won 19 seats, CPI (ML) got 12 seats, and AIMIM along with other parties collectively received 5 seats.
The political atmosphere in Bihar is quite charged for this election. This time, the public is focusing on issues such as development, unemployment, and education. An increase in the number of young voters could alter the political dynamics.
Journo Mirror's survey indicates that the public is in a mood for change. Conversely, other survey agencies claim that the NDA still holds a b position. Observing all these figures, it is difficult to say in whose favor the final results will turn out.
Opportunities for the Mahagathbandhan
This election is crucial for the Mahagathbandhan. If they win 130–140 seats, it will not only challenge the NDA but also signal a political shift in Bihar. For this, RJD, Congress, and other allied parties will need to adopt a b strategy.
The Mahagathbandhan must pay special attention to young voters and women voters. Furthermore, emphasizing local issues such as roads, electricity, water, and education is essential for their success.
Challenges for the NDA
The NDA is attempting to replicate its previous success this time. Their biggest challenge is to understand the public's mood for change and win them over. The BJP and JD(U) will need to highlight their candidates' performance and local development schemes.
