Indore-born Palak Muchhal has helped underprivileged children in India and abroad through the ‘Palak Palash Charitable Foundation’. A large portion of her earnings is donated for heart surgeries to help give a new lease of life to poor children. This mission in Palak's life began when she was very young. During a train journey, she met underprivileged children. At that time, she promised herself that one day she would definitely help needy children. This moment became the biggest turning point in her life.
Palak has so far raised financial aid for approximately 3800 heart surgeries. She states that saving children's lives is the greatest reward for her. She said, “Even if there are no shows, no earnings, children's surgeries will never stop.” Her help has not been limited to children alone. Palak has also assisted the families of Kargil martyrs and contributed to relief efforts during earthquakes and natural disasters when needed. For instance, she donated 10 lakh rupees to the victims of the Gujarat earthquake.
