A major turn has occurred in Bihar's politics. AIMIM state president Akhtarul Imam has announced that if talks with the Grand Alliance do not materialize, the party will contest on 100 seats and become part of a third front.
Bihar Politics: AIMIM's Bihar state president and MLA, Akhtarul Imam, has leveled a serious accusation against the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal). He stated that the RJD is responsible for the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) establishing its roots in Bihar. Imam recalled that the same mistake was made in 2005, and now in 2025, the same situation is being repeated.
Proposal for a Muslim Chief Minister
Akhtarul Imam said that in 2005, Ram Vilas Paswan had proposed making a Muslim face the Chief Minister. If the RJD had agreed at that time, a government could have been formed. However, it was refused. Now, the same mistake is being repeated once again, and the entire alliance will have to bear its consequences.
Meeting with Lalu Yadav Proved Fruitless
Imam explained that he had met with Lalu Prasad Yadav (Lalu Yadav) to discuss the possibilities of an alliance. However, Lalu did not provide a clear response. He stated that since no discussion took place, their party is now independent, and they will be compelled to contest elections separately.
AIMIM to Contest on 100 Seats
Akhtarul Imam made it clear that the party is preparing to contest elections on 100 seats. If talks with the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) do not succeed, the party will enter the fray with a third front. Regarding the possibility of an alliance with the Jan Suraaj Party and Prashant Kishor (Prashant Kishor), Imam stated that PK himself has repeatedly said that he will not form an alliance with anyone. So far, AIMIM has had no discussions with him.
Owaisi to Make the Final Decision
Akhtarul Imam said that the party's national president, Asaduddin Owaisi (Asaduddin Owaisi), will be visiting Bihar this month. After his arrival, it will be decided on which seats AIMIM will contest and with whom it will form an alliance. Imam sarcastically remarked that they went to beat the drums to open the ears of Lalu-Tejashwi, but the door was not even opened. He alleged that the reality of RJD's "MY equation" (Muslim-Yadav) has now been exposed to the public.
