A significant update has emerged regarding the fourth phase of teacher recruitment in Bihar, known as TRE-4. The state government is preparing to initiate this process soon. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had already directed the swift commencement of the recruitment process on July 16th via a post on X (formerly Twitter). Now, Education Minister Sunil Kumar has also provided crucial information concerning the recruitment.
Subject-wise List to be Sent in a Week
Education Minister Sunil Kumar, while speaking to the media in Motihari on Wednesday, July 30th, stated that the government will soon determine the subjects in which examinations will be conducted and in which subjects there is the greatest shortage of teachers. He mentioned that within a week to ten days, the list of these subjects will be submitted to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Following this, the appointment process will be expedited.
Under TRE-4, approximately 1.60 lakh new teachers will be recruited this time. The government plans to complete this entire process before the 2025 assembly elections. So far, more than two and a quarter lakh teachers have been appointed under three phases in the state.
Golden Opportunity for Women
This recruitment process presents a special opportunity for women in Bihar. The government has clarified that only women from Bihar will benefit from the 35 percent reservation in TRE-4. This means that women from other states will not be covered under this reservation. This will provide significant relief to female candidates in the state and offer them a golden opportunity to secure government jobs.
In this phase of recruitment, teachers will be hired from primary to higher secondary schools. In addition, approximately 40,000 positions for computer teachers are also included.
Major Relief to the Youth Before Elections
The state government is striving to provide employment to as many young people as possible before the 2025 assembly elections. The TRE-4 recruitment is also considered part of this strategy. This will not only provide job opportunities to lakhs of candidates but also strengthen the education system.
While this decision of the government has generated enthusiasm among unemployed youth, it has also raised hopes for qualitative improvements in the education system. The TRE-4 recruitment has now emerged as a major opportunity for the youth of Bihar, especially women.
