Rail services at Bina station in Madhya Pradesh will be affected between September 20 and October 16 due to construction work involving the third railway line and yard development. During this period, 16 trains will remain cancelled on different dates, while 48 trains will operate on diverted routes.
The construction work involves connecting the Agasoud-Bina third railway line to the yard at Bina station, along with other yard-related works. The work will require changes to railway tracks and operational arrangements, affecting several trains passing through Bina, Bhopal and Rani Kamlapati.
According to the railway plan, several trains will remain fully cancelled on specified dates. The Bhopal-Gwalior and Gwalior-Bhopal Express trains will not operate from October 1 to 15. The Gwalior-SMVT Bengaluru train will remain cancelled on October 2 and 9, while the SMVT Bengaluru-Gwalior train will be cancelled on October 4 and 11.
The Lalitpur-Bina and Bina-Lalitpur trains will be affected between September 20 and 26. Passenger services on the Bina-Ruthiyai section will remain cancelled from September 30 to October 16. The Bina-Katni Murwara and Katni Murwara-Bina trains will also remain cancelled on specified dates.
The Rani Kamlapati-Santragachi train will be cancelled on October 14, while the Santragachi-Rani Kamlapati train will be cancelled on October 15. The Bhopal-Damoh train will remain cancelled from October 9 to 15, and the Damoh-Bhopal train from October 10 to 16.
Several long-distance trains will operate through alternative routes during the construction work. The Rani Kamlapati-Rewa Express will run via Itarsi-Jabalpur-Katni from October 8 to 14. The return service will also operate on the same diverted route.

The Bhopal-Dhanbad and Bhopal-Singrauli trains will also operate via Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni South and New Katni on the specified dates. The Bhopal-Jodhpur and Jodhpur-Bhopal trains will operate via Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Maksi, Nagda and Kota.
The Howrah-Bhopal train will operate on a diverted route on October 12 and 14, while the Bhopal-Chopan train will use a diverted route on October 11 and 12.
The railway has also decided to terminate some trains before their regular destinations. The Bilaspur-Bhopal-Bilaspur train will terminate at Malkhedi station instead of Bhopal between October 6 and 14. Its return service will originate from Malkhedi between October 7 and 15.
Similarly, the Bhopal-Bina service will operate only up to Mandibamora instead of Bina from October 7 to 15 and will return from Mandibamora. The originating and terminating stations of some other services will also be changed.
The impact of the construction work will vary by train and date. Passengers travelling in September and October should check the running status and updated schedule of their train before travelling, particularly those travelling during the last week of September or in October.
Passengers should also confirm the train's operation, route and terminating station through official railway information before leaving for the station.
