BJP Workers Protest as PM, CM Posters Found on Sipat Police Station Toilet Door in Raipur

BJP workers gheraoed the Sipat police station in Raipur after posters of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister were affixed to the toilet door. The DSP assured an investigation into the matter and strict action against those responsible.

Raipur: A controversy erupted at the Sipat police station when posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai were found on the door of a government public toilet. This inappropriate and objectionable use of posters, which were put up under the 'Good Governance Fortnight' campaign, fueled the anger of BJP workers.

The incident occurred on October 22, 2025, a day before Diwali, when workers discovered that the posters had been temporarily affixed to the door of a broken toilet within the police station premises. BJP workers termed this an disrespectful act towards the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.

BJP Workers Gheraoed the Police Station

Several workers, including BJP District Rural Vice President Rajyavardhan Kaushik, Sipat Mandal President Deepak Sharma, Vice President Abhilesh Yadav, senior leaders Mannu Thakur, Madanlal Patanwar, Basant Sahu, and BJYM President Tushar Chandrakar, reached the spot.

The workers inquired inside the police station, but upon not receiving a satisfactory response, they gheraoed the station and chanted slogans loudly. They demanded strict action from the authorities against the responsible police personnel.

Serious Allegations Against Station In-charge

BJP workers accused Station In-charge Gopal Satpathi of fostering increased illegal liquor sales and criminal activities in the area under his protection. Furthermore, it was alleged that outsiders were invited into closed rooms at the police station for drinking alcohol.

The workers made it clear that they would not calm down until the Station In-charge was removed and action was taken against those responsible.

DSP Arrives on Site, Initiates Investigation

Upon receiving information about the incident, DSP Nimitesh Singh immediately arrived at the scene and spoke with the BJP workers. He assured them that the matter would be investigated, and strict action would be taken against those found guilty. Following this assurance, the workers dispersed.

The DSP stated that the police administration has initiated an immediate investigation, considering the seriousness of the matter, and appropriate steps would be taken after identifying all responsible officers and employees.
