Following the success of Operation Sindoor, the BJP will conduct a Tiranga Yatra across the country from August 10th to 14th. The program will involve yatras in every district, honoring martyrs, cleanliness drives, and silent processions on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
Tiranga Yatra: After recent shifts in India's political and military strategies, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is once again on the ground to spread patriotism among the masses. From August 10th to 14th, 2025, a 'Tiranga Yatra' will be conducted in every district across the country. This move follows the parliamentary discussion on Operation Sindoor, which has become a symbol of India's military success and decisive strategy against terrorism.
Operation Sindoor: When India Displayed Decisive Valor
On the night of May 6-7, the Indian Army, under a precise and covert operation named 'Operation Sindoor,' destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. This attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of approximately 100 terrorists, and subsequently, the Indian Army targeted several Pakistani military installations. A ceasefire was established between the two countries on May 10th following this action. However, India made it clear that future dialogue with Pakistan would only focus on the issues of PoK and terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in Parliament further clarified this stance.
From Parliament to the Streets: BJP's Patriotic Campaign
Following the discussion on Operation Sindoor in Parliament, the BJP has planned to take it to the general public. The party has announced the organization of a nationwide 'Tiranga Yatra' between August 10th and 14th.
The objectives of this Yatra are:
- To disseminate information about Operation Sindoor and its success to the general public.
- To pay tribute to the country's martyrs, soldiers, and police officers who have made sacrifices.
- To promote national unity, integrity, and pride.
Tiranga Yatra to be Held in Every District
The BJP has decided to conduct Tiranga Yatras at every district level across the country. Excerpts from the speeches given by Prime Minister Modi and senior leaders in Parliament will be propagated during this Yatra.
Additionally:
- An appeal to hoist the tricolor on all homes and establishments from August 13th to 15th under the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign.
- Cleanliness drives at freedom fighter memorials and war memorials.
- Tableaus showcasing Indian Army weapons and equipment.
- Honoring soldiers and sacrifices through placards.
Silent Procession on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day
The BJP has designated August 14th as 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day'. On this day, silent processions will be held across the country to remember the tragedy of partition and the sacrifices associated with it. According to the BJP, this Remembrance Day will serve as a medium for cultural awareness and national dialogue, enabling the new generation to understand its past.
Nationwide Coordination: Sunil Bansal Given Command
For the execution of this nationwide program, the BJP has appointed General Secretary Sunil Bansal as the national coordinator. A committee consisting of a coordinator and three members has been formed in each state to handle the planning, management, and communication responsibilities of the event.
Government's Aggressive Strategy in Parliament
During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha, the government adopted an aggressive rather than defensive strategy. Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar bly responded to the opposition's questions. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Gaurav Gogoi from the opposition, and Mallikarjun Kharge in the Rajya Sabha raised questions. However, the BJP made it clear that no apology would be given for military action taken in the national interest.
