BSSC CGL 4 Notification 2025: Good news for the youth of Bihar! BSSC, i.e., the Bihar Staff Selection Commission, has released the notification for the CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam 2025. Through this recruitment, a total of 1,481 posts will be filled in various departments of the state government.

These include important positions such as Assistant Branch Officer, Planning Assistant, Data Entry Operator (Grade-C), and Auditor. The good thing is that only a graduation degree is sufficient for these positions.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility:

Any candidate who has passed graduation from a recognized university is eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):

  • General Category (Male): 21 to 37 years
  • Female, Backward Class, and SC/ST: 21 to 40 years

Age relaxation will be applicable to reserved categories as per government rules.

How Much is the Application Fee?

  • General, Backward, and Extremely Backward Class (Male): ₹540
  • All women of Bihar, SC/ST, Differently Abled: ₹135
  • All candidates from other states: ₹540

Fees can only be paid online—such as through debit card, credit card, or net banking.

How Will the Selection Be Made?

If the number of applicants exceeds 40,000, a preliminary examination (Prelims) will be conducted first. Questions will be asked from three subjects in this exam:

  • General Studies
  • General Science and Mathematics
  • Mental Ability Test

The exam may be conducted in multiple shifts, and merit will be prepared based on normalization.

Only those candidates who are successful in the preliminary examination will be able to appear in the main examination (Mains). In the selection process, 5 times the number of vacancies will be called for the main examination.
