Bundi Illegal Meat Shop Action: In Bundi, Rajasthan, on Friday, Hindu organizations protested at the Municipal Council demanding the closure of illegal meat shops operating in the city. Led by Vishwa Hindu Parishad city president Anil Chaturvedi, activists first staged a sit-in outside the council and then met with the chairperson. Prior to this, the Municipal Council had sealed seven shops in several areas, including Meera Gate and Nainwa Road. The organizations say that all illegal shops should be removed immediately, while the administration has assured continuous action.

Municipal Council Takes Strict Action

In Bundi, Rajasthan, on Friday, Hindu organizations staged a b protest in front of the Municipal Council, demanding the closure of illegal meat shops. Led by Vishwa Hindu Parishad city president Anil Chaturvedi, activists held a sit-in outside the council and later met with the chairperson, demanding prompt action. Following this protest, the Municipal Council raided various areas, including Meera Gate and Nainwa Road, and sealed seven illegal shops. The administration has clarified that the campaign will continue and strict action will be taken against illegal activities.

Seven-Point Demands of Hindu Organizations and Warning of Agitation

Hindu organizations have submitted a memorandum of seven demands to the Municipal Council, which includes the immediate removal of illegal meat shops from the entire city, regular inspections, and strict punishment for those who violate the rules. The organization has warned that if the administration does not take effective action soon, they will intensify the agitation. Previously, the organization has submitted several memorandums to the administration, but they allege that the action has been slow. On Thursday, sadhus (ascetics), saints, and activists held a sit-in, recited Hanuman Chalisa, and threatened a hunger strike unto death.

Administration's Action and Future Strategy

Municipal Council Chairperson Saroj Agarwal stated that several illegal shops have been served notices and closed in the past. However, strict steps are now being taken against those who violate the rules. The administration has assured that the campaign against illegal meat shops will continue, and no one will be allowed to violate the law. The administration is vigilant to maintain social peace in the city in coordination with Hindu organizations.
