The wait is over for the lakhs of students awaiting the Common Admission Test, CAT 2025. The online application process for this year's CAT exam has commenced on the official website. This examination is conducted for admission to MBA and PG programs in prestigious management institutions across the country.

Applications for CAT 2025 will only be accepted through online mode. For this, interested candidates will have to register by visiting the official website. After logging in to the website, the application form has to be filled out and the relevant documents have to be uploaded.

  • Click on the CAT 2025 link provided on the homepage.
  • Fill in the necessary details to register and complete the registration.
  • Log in with the registered user ID and password.
  • Fill out the application form and upload scanned documents.

Exam Date and When Will the Admit Card Be Released

The CAT 2025 exam will be held on November 30, 2025. This exam is conducted in three different slots and lakhs of students from across the country participate in it. The questions in the exam are asked in English and it consists of three sections in total: Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude.

The admit cards for CAT 2025 will be released on November 5, 2025. Candidates will be able to download the admit card through their registration number and password. The admit card will contain details of the exam center, time, and other important instructions.

Application Fee Information

The application fee for CAT 2025 is fixed according to the category of the candidates.

  • The application fee for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and PwD category candidates is ₹1300.
  • General, OBC, and all other category candidates will have to pay ₹2600 as application fee.

This fee can be submitted through online modes such as debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.

What Documents Will Be Required

While applying for CAT 2025, candidates have to upload scanned copies of some essential documents. These include:

  • Passport size photograph
  • Signature
  • Graduation degree certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)

It is necessary to upload all these documents in the prescribed format and size, so that the application can be accepted.

Who Can Apply

To apply for CAT 2025, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university. It is mandatory for general category candidates to have passed graduation with at least 50 percent marks, while this limit is 45 percent for the reserved category.

In addition, final year students can also appear in this exam, but they will have to complete their degree by the time of admission.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The CAT 2025 exam will be computer-based and will have a total of 100 questions. The questions will be multiple choice. The total duration of the examination will be 2 hours and will be divided into three sections:

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Aptitude

Three marks are awarded for each correct answer and there is a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.
