Torrential rains and flood-like conditions in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh have increased the difficulties for people. Delhi-NCR: Cloudy skies, possibility of light rain

The sky will remain cloudy in the capital Delhi on August 3, with a possibility of light rain.
These are the potential areas of rainfall:

  • East and West Delhi
  • Laxmi Nagar, Anand Vihar, Pitampura
  • NCR cities: Light rain is also possible in Noida, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Kaushambi, Vaishali, and Gurugram.

Uttar Pradesh: Heavy rain alert in 20+ districts

Moderate to heavy rain is expected in more than 20 districts of UP on August 3. Major districts under alert:

  • Saharanpur, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor
  • Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur

  • Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur
  • Munger, Banka, Supaul, Madhubani
  • Light to moderate rain:
  • Patna, Begusarai, Nalanda, Gaya, Lakhisarai, Jamui, Nawada, Sheikhpura

Madhya Pradesh: Flood risk due to heavy rain

There is a possibility of heavy to torrential rains in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. Affected districts:

  • Morena, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Sagar, Shivpuri, Raisen, Sehore, Hoshangabad
  • Gwalior, Guna, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Bhind, Chhatarpur
  • Flood warnings have been issued here due to rising river water levels.

Rajasthan: Some districts to experience heavy rain, others get relief

Most districts in Rajasthan will get some relief from the rain, but heavy rain is possible in some parts. Districts under alert:

  • Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli, Dausa, Dholpur

Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rain alert again

The Meteorological Department has again issued a heavy rain alert for the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh. Affected districts:

  • Sirmaur, Solan, Shimla, Kinnaur, Bilaspur
  • The risk of landslides and road blockages has increased in the hilly areas.

Uttarakhand: Heavy rain expected in hilly districts

  • Bageshwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Nainital, Almora, Champawat

Landslides, river swells, and traffic disruptions are also feared here.
