Three Family Members Killed in Chandauli Road Accident on Way to Chhath Puja

A tragic road accident occurred in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Near Rewasa village, under Alinagar police station area, at around 5 AM, a speeding unknown truck ran over a family on their way to Chhath Puja. In this accident, Kumari Devi (52 years), her daughter-in-law Chandni Devi (27 years), and grandson Saurabh Kumar (7 years) died on the spot. After the accident, the truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and are searching for the unknown vehicle. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the entire region.

This accident raises serious questions about the safety of devotees during Chhath Puja. Local administration should strengthen security arrangements during such events to prevent similar incidents in the future.
