Rainfall activity in Chhattisgarh has started to weaken, with conditions developing for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon. According to the weather department, conditions may become favourable for the monsoon to withdraw from some parts of the state over the next 48 hours. On Thursday, weather remained dry across almost the entire state, and no significant rainfall was recorded anywhere.
According to the weather department, the monsoon withdrawal line is currently passing through Gurdaspur, Chandigarh, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Dholpur, Udaipur, Deesa and Naliya. Over the next 48 hours, conditions may also become favourable for the withdrawal of the monsoon from the remaining parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, as well as most parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Signs of monsoon withdrawal are also emerging from some areas of Chhattisgarh.

Weather in the capital Raipur is expected to remain mainly clear on October 2. According to the weather department, the city may record a maximum temperature of around 34°C and a minimum temperature of around 25°C. No special rain alert has currently been issued for Raipur or any other district in the state.

Daytime temperatures are being felt as warm, while a slight chill has been observed in some areas at night due to a fall in temperatures. Weather conditions are expected to gradually change in the coming days as the monsoon withdraws.
During the past 24 hours, Rajnandgaon recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5°C, the highest in the state. According to local data from the India Meteorological Department, Rajnandgaon recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5°C and a minimum temperature of 24.5°C on October 1, with no rainfall recorded over 24 hours.
Pendra Road recorded a minimum temperature of 18.2°C. This indicates the beginning of slight nighttime chill in some parts of the state.
According to the weather department, weather in Chhattisgarh is likely to remain mainly dry for the next two days. There is currently no special warning for rainfall or adverse weather in any district. As the monsoon withdrawal progresses, rainfall activity across the state is likely to decrease further.
After the monsoon withdraws, daytime temperatures may gradually rise, while nighttime temperatures may decline in some areas. However, local variations in temperature and weather conditions are possible.
